Leonard Lamp Ad Sept 28, 1910 in Scranton Truth Newspaper
  Leonard RSide.JPG - LEONARD - Extremely rare all brass carbide cap lamp, 4 in. high to top of water fill cap, 2 1/8 in. base dia., 2 1/4 in. sharp edge reflector with offset burner location, lamp only known complete example of two known lamps, lamp identified by picture ad offered by Thos. F. Leonard Co., 505 Lacka. Ave. (Scranton, PA), in The Scranton Truth newspaper, Sept. 28, 1910 edition pg 6, lamp is pictured in Dave Thorpe’s Carbide Lamp book, pg 228, and marked unknown maker with similar features to Nathan hand lamp (recent discovery of newspaper ad confirmed the lamps maker, T. F. Leonard, is well known maker of oil wick lamps; see T. F. Leonard wick lamps in my oil wick section), with spare base, ex-John Podgurski collection
